Building Surveys Services
A Brief Introduction to Our Practice.
The company is managed by John Carlon the mining engineer and chartered surveyor, to advise clients on a wide range of defects affecting property, contamination risk, foundation advice, mining subsidence and provide solutions to these problems. Richard Steadman MRTPI MRICS is a consultant to the business and advises on planning matters in the rural and housing sectors.
The practice has a wide range of clients in the property sector and also acts for individuals who are buying or renting property.
Due to the expansion and diversification over the last ten years, the company is now a leading consultant in the construction, building and commercial sector. Fennell Green and Bates are able to supply a reliable and comprehensive service to the public and private sector, this including prospective home buyers, solicitors, property developers and estate agents.
The senior surveyors have undertaken building surveys since the practice became involved in coal mining subsidence claims from underground mining in the early 1970s and now undertake surveys for a wide range of clients on the condition of property
With the investment in housing over the past 30 years the advice to the general public is to ensure that a building survey is undertaken on a property that it is intended to purchase as it will be the largest investment money and time during life.
Fennell Green and Bates deals with all aspects of estate management and has a dedicated department that carries out partial and full building surveys on residential and commercial properties to assess their structural stability, the condition of decoration, coal mining legacy issues and any requirements in Town and Country Planning on change of use.
Our Practice surveyors approach every survey on an individual basis, in accordance with the client’s specific requirements.
The condition of the properties and buildings that are surveyed require recording at the time it is decided to enter an agreement, this may be for the renewal of a lease, rental agreements or prior to purchase of a residential or commercial dwelling. Our reports provide our clients with clear and comprehensive advice together with highlighting the key aspects of remedial works and the condition of the building with a cost analysis.
